Penn Wharton Budget Model (PWBM) is hosting the first Annual Economic Policy Forum on Capitol Hill on June 22. The Forum will bring together policymakers, academics, business leaders, and media to discuss how public policy impacts business and the general economy. The morning session will include Steve Ballmer, former CEO of Microsoft and owner of the LA Clippers, and Kent Smetters, faculty director of the PWBM, who will discuss a new public policy database and modeling methods. The lunch will feature a keynote address by a leading industry speaker. The afternoon sessions will be convened by leading academics who will consider several key public policy areas, ranging from debt, entitlements, immigration and post-JCTA tax code cleanup.
