PWBM Briefing: Comprehensive Analysis of the Biden Platform

  • This briefing will be held as a webinar. (map)

With election day 2020 drawing closer, presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaign has released a substantial list of policy proposals. Earlier this month, PWBM released an integrated analysis of the entire Biden platform, covering seven main categories: immigration, tax, education, infrastructure and R&D, housing, Social Security, and healthcare. In this briefing, PWBM Director of Policy Analysis Richard Prisinzano will break down the Biden platform for participants and walk them through the platform’s budgetary, distributional, and economic effects, drawing on participant’s previous learning in the PWBM certificate program to present this first-of-its-kind, comprehensive analysis.

This briefing is an elective lesson in PWBM’s new Certificate for Policy Professionals, which is geared toward congressional staffers and other public policy professionals who work in the Washington, DC area. The program will train students in the economics of public policies and the process of how policies are made. After completing the program, certificate earners will be better prepared to understand and articulate the economic trade-offs of legislation. Please visit our certificate page to learn more.

Instructor: Richard Prisinzano, PWBM Director of Policy Analysis
