“Information Provision in the Housing Market”

ABSTRACT: Having accurate and timely information is crucial for efficient markets, but bad-quality information could add noise and make the market less efficient. I propose exploring the effects of heterogeneous-quality information provision on housing market outcomes, using Zillow's Zestimate, a free estimation of home values over time that can be more or less accurate.
