Kent Smetters, the Faculty Director of PWBM, will be a panelist at the International Symposium - Global Recovery: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, co-hosted by the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) and the Bank of Spain. He will take part in the panel discussion: Impact of US Tax Reform on Capital Flows.

"The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) and the Bank of Spain will co-host a global economic symposium at the Banco de España headquarters in Madrid, April 16-17, 2018.

The symposium will explore the critical challenges, emerging trends, and diverse factors shaping the United States and European economies in 2018 and beyond, and the implications these currents have for US and European businesses. To ensure a constructive and open exchange and maximum interaction amongst panelists and audience participants, the symposium is limited to a select group of business economists, policymakers, and economic and corporate leaders from the US and Europe. 

This is the fourth global symposium to be co-hosted by NABE; the first was conducted May 2015 in Munich, Germany in conjunction with the Deutsche Bundesbank, the second was conducted May 2016 in Paris, France in conjunction with the OECD, and the third was in May 2017 at the Banca d'Italia in Rome."
