This lecture presents new projections by the Penn Wharton Budget Model of key health and economic variables associated with relaxing mandatory social distancing policies that were enacted in response to COVID-19. PWBM’s new integrated economics and epidemiological model uses detailed health and economics data to project health and economic outcomes across U.S. states associated with a range of policy bundles that ease social distancing rules.
